I was in a state of panic. It's not a surprise to be stressed before the day of the wedding. After all, it was the most important day of my daughter's life, and one of the most proud days of mine.

It is almost expected to be stressed before such a gala occasion. Nonetheless, I could not help myself. My husband informed me to calm down, but it did no good. & then the bad news struck.

It seems that the florist had messed up the floral arrangement. It isn't like we hadn't given him specific instructions. Just like with assembling the wholesale wedding favors, we gave step by step instructions. I am aware that flower arrangements for weddings are one of the most important decorative elements, along with those wholesale wedding favors. They were the very last thing that we picked out, and meant to reflect all the other elements. Flower arrangements for weddings, you see, do not stand alone. I had worried that the arrangements for weddings wouldn't look right, but it didn't even occur to me that the florist would screw up the order. I figured that it might look different once we got into the room & not be a sign of the other elements of the decor the way that I wished. But when he screwed up at the last minute, it was more than I could take.

It was not like the flower arrangements for the wedding day were slightly off. They were plain old wrong. If the arrangements for weddings had been, say, a lighter shade of purple as an alternate choice to the dark purple that I had elected, it would have been alright. As it was, they were altogether different. I assume that he mixed them up with some other floral arrangements for weddings ordered by some other wedding party. They were probably having the exact same nervous breakdown that I was having right now. As opposed to the dark violet floral wedding bouquet that we had preferred, we're presented with a series of Calla lily arrangements. I think that calla lilies make beautiful flower arrangements for weddings, but they didn't go along with any-thing. They clashed terribly. All the guests were gracious about it, but I can not believe that nobody noticed!
