A Young Woman Engages In Hazardous And Abusive Drinking And Receives First-Rate Help At An Alcohol Treatment Clinic For Alcohol Withdrawals And Alcoholism Symptoms



Beth was the mother of two children. Beth had been feeling very anxious lately and began to "medicate" herself by having several martinis each evening after she put her children to bed. After nearly four weeks of this drinking routine, she finally understood the fact that instead of helping her "take it easy" and deal with her difficulties, drinking made her feel less tranquil when she awakened. This, in turn, made her feel even more stressed all through the day.

After thinking deeply about her predicament for several weeks, Beth decided to talk about her drinking situation with her best friend. As Beth was talking to the psychiatrist, she underscored the point that she truthfully believed that she and Robert dated long enough to know one another well enough before they got married. After the children started to arrive, however, just about everything seemed to go downhill. What is more, both she and Robert started to drink, and their careless and irresponsible drinking adversely affected their finances, their love for one another, and their relationship.

The psychiatrist explained to Beth that the alcohol poisoning symptoms she has been experiencing are due to her abusive and unhealthy drinking. The doctor also told Beth that her alcohol withdrawal symptoms are some of the usual symptoms of alcoholism and that the most effective solution for this is alcohol rehabilitation.

After spending three months in inpatient alcohol rehab, Beth was gradually able to realize that the real root of her stress and her depression was the fact that she had not laid to rest her resentful feelings she has for her ex-husband who divorced her. In a word, Beth let these feelings perturb her to such an extent that she became an alcoholic.

Armed with these insights and with the drugs her doctor prescribed, she eventually stopped drinking, she started to feel considerably less depressed, and she started making time for social activities with her friends and family. What is more, a few months after receiving rehab from her psychiatrist, she even started to date once again.

It was evident that Beth had come a long way. In fact, just around nine months after she completed her rehab, Beth had finally laid the depressing feelings of her ex-husband to rest and was beginning to feel more complete and more spiritually "sound" and psychologically "with it" than she had ever felt in her adult life.
